THE POET PART II – NEW WORLD

86 SE

Earth is rising in this silent place, see it cross the window panes

In this world we walk on naked feet and bathe in deep synthetic lakes

Saturn’s light cast over Saito 4, dazzled children play along

Domes protect us from a piercing sun, our cities driven by its force

We’re told this place was built by extraordinary people

The ones that saw the twilight of the earth

All these high titanium walls retain

Human sadness we brought here from the dirt

Our greatest poet wrote his art on that world

Was never known, and no one ever cared

In these suits we breathe the air we make

We miss the wind so much, we miss the rain

Art and science in these endless aisles

Books that might have saved the world we had

We come together, share the sounds of bands

We fill with joy this dry and lonely land
